A willingness to acknowledge the negative impact of anger on his
/ her life.

A desire to change the negative behaviors associated with anger.

Willingness to develop long term goals in relation to ongoing
recovery and wellness.

Program
Goals:

To recognize
anger points and plan ways to deal with anger in positive ways.

To seek to
understand the source of the anger.

To explore the
impact of anger on client's lives.
-
4.
To develop an
aftercare plan that addresses continued growth and healing for
the client to maintain healthy behaviors.

This program is designed to investigate the impact Anger has on
clients lives - their relationships, families, and communities.
Participants can expect to take part in one to one counseling,
and large group activities. They cam also expect to learn new
skills and techniques for dealing with their anger.
Grief and
Abandonment

ten day program designed to give clients a comprehensive
understanding of the stages and cycles of grief, how
grief and loss have impacted their lives, and tools for
dealing with grief.

understanding of grief and it's impact.

Desire to work on grief related issues.

Willingness to actively participate in aftercare and
follow-up as requested by lodge staff.

Program Goals:

1. To take an honest look
at the major losses in our lives and how those
losses have impacted us.
-
2.
To participate in exercises
aimed at letting go of the hurts associated with
those losses.
-
3.
To take part in one to
one counseling, peer support, and group therapy as
it relates to our grief issues, and holistic healing
model.

4.
To develop an aftercare plan
to assist in further recovery upon completion of the
program.

Individuals who attend this program should expect to
participate in group therapy, role playing,
journaling and writing classes.
Sexual
Abuse Program
Program Dates
March 26th - April 4th, 2008
July 7th - 16th, 2008
A ten day
program designed to provide a safe, supportive environment in which
clients will examine the impact sexual abuse has had on their lives,
physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

An introduction to statistics and information regarding sexual
abuse in the dominant society, and First Nations Communities

Develop an historical "map" of abuse in your family of origin

How sexual abuse scars our childhood, how it affects us as
adults, as individuals, in our relationships, families and
communities

The emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual impact of abuse

Roles we play - victim, survivor, etc

Effects on our children - cycle of abuse

Moving On - understanding the need to go beyond the abuse

Accepting the past and building a future, on our own terms

Healing as a life long process - maintaining support systems and
aftercare plans

previous work in dealing with the sexual abuse.

Willingness to work on the issues.

Sobriety
as requested by the assessment counselor.

Program
Goals:

1.
To become aware of how sexual abuse has
impacted clients as individuals, in their relationships,
families, and communities.

2.
To prioritize issues in this area into an
actionable plan as it relates to the holistic healing model.
-
3.
To participate in one to one counseling,
peer support and group therapy throughout the program.
-
4.
To depart the facility with a concrete
aftercare plan for continued healing and recovery.
-
This program will emphasize acceptance, forgiveness and letting
go of the past in the best interest of the clients future.
